Economic Impact Analysis of Avon Park Airforce Range This project measured the economic impact of the Avon Park Air Force Range (APAFR), including the potential impacts associated with several land and facility development scenarios. The 42,000 hectare military facility was evaluated through quantification of the economic impacts attributable to each of its diverse uses and allocations of land. The APAFR is home to military training and deployment uses, but it also houses a variety of other groups that affect its regional influence, including extensive conservation and agricultural lands. Carefully tracking each source of income generation and economic stimulation arising from the APAFR, the components of economic impact were mapped and traced back to their sources within the APAFR, producing a valuable cross-section of the facility's effects on the local economy.
