Water security and wastewater management are critical to sustainable growth. BGA provides tailored economic analysis for water infrastructure investments, utility planning, and circular economy solutions. We support governments and councils to evaluate the economic impact of investments and resiliency in this sector.
Projects include the Safe and Secure Water Program toolkit, NSW water infrastructure assessments, and the wastewater strategy for Fiji, commissioned by the UNDP. Our team also led business cases for the Casino STP upgrade and recycled water activation in Dubbo.
Economic assessment of the Oberon Shire economy. The analysis included information on the socioeconomic and regional industry strengths within the Shire. Project included interviews with key regional stakeholders and Council staff. The report analysed migration patterns and property assessment notices to inform land use patterns. The economic audit used analytical tools such as Industry Composition, Input-Output, Location Quotient and Shift Share to develop a snapshot of the Oberon Shire economy.
